MEET THE ARTISTS

LISA CONGDON

A fine artist, illustrator, author and style maven Lisa Congdon works internationally for such clients as MoMA, Martha Stewart Living, Chronicle Books, Random House Publishing and, of course, Kikoko. Her latest book, A Glorious Freedom: Older Women Leading Extraordinary Lives, was released by Chronicle Books in 2017. Lisa was named one of 40 Women Over 40 to Watch in 2015 and she is featured in the 2017 book, 200 Women Who Will Change the Way You See the World. She lives in Portland, Oregon. — lisacongdon.com

SALLY TAGG

Sally Tagg is a photographer, an outdoor sculpture artist and a fine artist. She also happens to be one of New Zealand’s best-known artists, (and one of our founders’ very dearest friends). Her career is studded with books, shows, famous-people encounters, works created for charity, and thousands of editorial photographs featured in glossy magazines worldwide. Sally exhibits her outdoor sculpture and large-scale botanical works in galleries in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. The  mandalas she made for Kikoko were created using real herbal ingredients from our teas and the flowers the bees feed on for the manuka honey we use in our HoneyShots. She lives in Auckland, New Zealand. — sallytagg.co.nz

SUSAN BLACK

Susan Black is an inspired fine and commercial artist who has worked as a graphic designer, creative director and product designer. She excels in illustration, collage, mixed media and pattern surface design—and she’s a pretty fine photographer to boot. The patterns she did for our HoneyShot packaging were based on the mood state each honey blend achieves. Susan has worked for clients such as Starbucks and Pier 1—all from her seaside home in Pugwash, Nova Scotia. — 29blackstreet.blogspot.com
